INTROIT
Blessed is He who comes in the name | of the Lord!*
We bless you from the house | of the Lord.
Lift up your head, O gates! And be lifted up, O | ancient doors,*
that the King of glory | may come in.
Who is the King of | glory?*
The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in | battle!
Lift up your head, O gates! And be lifted up, O | ancient doors,*
That the King of glory | may come in.
Who is the King of | glory?*
The Lord of hosts, He is the King of | glory!
Blessed is He who comes in the name | of the Lord!*
We bless you from the house | of the Lord.

LUTHER’S MORNING PRAYER
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have kept me this night from all harm and danger; and I pray that You would keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please You. For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen.
